Inaugural Lawyers for Harris In-Person Meeting—DNC Chicago

Lawyers for Harris had its first major in-person meeting in Chicago during the Democratic National Convention. At the meeting, which was held on Wednesday, 21 August 2024, over a dozen Lawyers for Harris members exchanged ideas and strategies, for using their legal skills and resources to support the Harris / Walz Presidential campaign.

Members discussed strategies for regional and national fundraising events, and for assisting with voter protection and access, and with electoral advocacy in state and federal courts.

Lawyers for Harris members who joined the meeting included John Roberti, SJ Nathan, Andrew Weinstein, Andrew Byrnes, Stephanie Schlatter, Andrew Byrnes, George Edwards, Michael Cooper, Jamie Ansorge, Steven Newmark, Brad Karp, Mitch Kamin, Jonathan Bunge, and Robert Cushman Barber.

The event was held at the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile on N. Michigan Ave.

The Chicago event followed the Lawyers for Harris Launch event, held via zoom on 1 August 2024.
