We know that it is Kamala Harris who cares about the issues that we care about. And we commit to fight for the next two weeks to make sure that we send Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to the White House. And we can do that – because When We Fight, We Win.”

Out 4 Harris-Walz DC
Out 4 Harris-Walz DC is group of volunteers organized by D.C. State Board of Education member Allister Chang that has been working with the Harris-Walz campaign to operate twice-weekly phone banks, multiple Brat Bus caravans to Pennsylvania to canvas, and other events geared towards engaging with voters in swing states to convince them to vote, and to vote for the Harris-Walz team. Other Out 4 Harris-Walz organizers include Trey Walton & Marco Sanchez. The Out 4 Harris-Walz DC Instagram page is https://www.instagram.com/out4harriswalz. The Out 4 Harris-Walz DC Facebook group, created by George Edwards, is www.facebook.com/groups/out4harriswalzdc
Chang was quoted in The Washington Blade:
“One of the things I’m most proud of is that the vast majority of people who are joining this, including myself, are first-time volunteers for a national campaign,” he said. Further, he said “And I think that’s also representative of the responsibility we feel at this time to do something to make a difference”. (D.C. Out 4 Harris-Walz DC has had over 1,100 volunteers who have made many thousands of phone calls. All the Brat Buses for Kamala have been oversubscribed, and the brunches and other side events have been well-attended.
Anyone interested may join the remaining phone banks:
Wednesday, 30 October at Woman’s National Democratic Club (1526 New Hampshire Ave, NW -- near DuPont Circle), from 6:00 – 8:00 -- events.democrats.org/event/704929/
Saturday, 2 November , at the Human Rights Campaign (1640 Rhode Island Ave., NW). events.democrats.org/event/714458
For phone banks, just bring a phone and laptop with you. You will be trained to use the high-tech phone banking system, called Mobilize, used by the campaign. Though you use your own phone, Mobilize uses a different number for calls that you make, so your own number is not used.
After 2-hour phone bank sessions, participants may receive a free drink, brunch, or even a hot dog! Supporting Bars include Number 9, JR’s, Crush, and Shakers,
Please check the Lawyers For Harris website www.LawyersForHarris.com for information about other things you may do between now and the election – remote or live – in all the swing states. Some of the remote opportunities, like for “Ballot Cure”, only require 1-2 hours of work using your phone from your home!
